PRACTICAL GUIDES

Use a WhatsApp QR code for customer enquiries

Prepare the right phone number, a useful draft message and a clear call to action.

Use the intended business number

Enter an international number registered with WhatsApp. Remove the local trunk prefix when adding the country code: a Thai number beginning 0 uses 66 followed by the remaining digits. Check the generated link with your own account before placing the code on packaging or signage.

Keep the draft useful

An optional prefilled message can explain the enquiry, such as Hello, I would like to ask about this product. It is a draft, not an automatic send. Do not put customer names, order secrets or personal information in a code intended for public display. The phone number and draft are readable by anyone with the image.

Set expectations on the sign

Place a caption such as Chat with us below the QR and provide another contact method where possible. Test on a phone with WhatsApp installed and inspect what happens for guests using a browser. A scan does not prove that a message was sent, and this static toolkit does not count incoming chats.
