PRACTICAL GUIDES

Create a QR code for a restaurant menu

Choose a stable menu address and test the complete guest experience.

Choose a stable destination

Publish the menu on an HTTPS page you control and check that guests can open it without signing in. A permanent menu page is easier to maintain than a temporary file link. A static QR cannot change its stored address, but you can update the content at that address when dishes or prices change.

Design for a table

Add a short caption such as View menu below the code. Leave the clear border intact and avoid glossy placement that catches overhead lights. Keep the restaurant logo small if you add one. Include a readable alternative address or offer a paper menu for guests who cannot scan.

Test beyond the scan

Use a phone that is not signed into the menu hosting account. Check page loading on mobile data and restaurant WiFi, text size, prices and language selection. Print one table card at the final size and scan from a seated position. Repeat the destination check after changing the menu service or domain.
